HAWKE'S bay proposal SCHOOLS AS HOSPITALS The modern school's of the Dominion ai-e considered by the Health Department to be ideal for emergency hospitals, commented Mr C. Lassen, at the monthly meeting of the Hawke's Bay Education Board, when the position of school-comi mittees and board members in relation to the emergency precautions scheme was being discussed, Mr Lassen added tliat Dr. M. H. Director-General of , Health, \vas to visit Napier shortly' to discuss the matter. A trial had been held recently jn a. modern northern school, and the Health Department had fully equipped the building to deal with a-r; epidemic in 12 hours.
