MONTHLY MEETING

LEAGUE OF MOTHERS The monthly meeting of the. "League was held in Knox Presbyterian Hall on Tuesday last. There was a good attendance of members and friends. After the business had . been disposed, of the audience list--ened with „ great interest to an address given by the Rev. Stewart, of "Taneatua, on "Prophesies." Mr Stewart traced, the fulfillment of the promises made to Jacob in the, gradual settlement of Jews again in Palestine, and then referred his listen--ers to the prophecies of Ezekiel -and: Daniel and their fulfilment in the present dominance of the three - Dictators the world has ever known. In conclusion Mr .Stewart gave a message of faith that a purified Britain would arise victori•ous to worship the Almighty God. Mrs J. Warner sang two songs, great pleasure to all; after which afternoon tea was dispensed by committee members. The meeting closed with the singing of the Anthem.
