| ORDINARY MONTHLY MEETING iOH OPE AFFAIRS TO THE FORE Tlie ordinary monthly meeting of the Whakatanc County Council was held yesterdaj r , Cr W. A. McCrac-. ken being voted to the chair in the absence in Auckland of Cr J. L. Burnett. A rather long agenda was still further lengthened by the visit of a deputation from the Ohopo Ratepayers' and Progress League relative to the proposed swimming pool and much of the council's time after the deputation had left was spent in discussing Ohope affairs. Accounts totalling £3501 6s lid were passed for payment.
