IMPORTATION SALE
EIGHT BULLS AVERAGE 320 GNS. Breeders were present from all over New Zealand at the sa:le of American Jersey Sires held at Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Com pany's wool stores, Auckland, on Tuesday. The shipment of 10 bulls was sent direct from New York by Wallace MacMonnies Esq., Robinwood Farm, Madison, New Jersey. Of the nine bulls submitted to auction eight averaged 320 guineas and one was passed at 185 guineas. One had to be destroyed 6n account of an injury to one of his front legs. Local breeders who attended the sale were Messrs D. O. Murray, J. S. Rae, F. J. Savage, I. Savage and T. W. Wardlaw. Individual purchases were: Lot 1, two year old—Nuriels Dreaming Royalist, 450gns, Mr L. M. Colson, Bell Block, Taranaki. Lot 2, three year old—Erdurheim Rosebloom, 320gns, Mr S. L. Crooks North Auuckland. Lot 3, five year old—Goldenrod's Blonde Design, 180gns, Mr J. G. Holmes, Te Awamutu. Lot 4, 3'earling—Golden Franchise Aim, 450gns, Mr Truby King, Taranaki. Lot 5, yearling—Franchise White Aim ft 400gns, A. E. Watkin. Takanini, Auckland. Lot 6, two year old—Franchise Wonderful Aim Jnr. 300gns, Mr F. Geek, Te Kawliata. Lot 7, yearling—Blonde Goklenrod Design, 160gns, J. G. Holmes, To Awamutu. Lot 8, yearling—Royalist Dreaming Lad, 300gns, Mr B. Morelandi, Cambridge. . Lot 9, two year old—Fillpail Oaklads Star, 185gns, passed.
