CLUB GAMES RESUMED

RANGITAIKI TO MEET „ OPOTIKI Club games under the control of the Whakatane Union will be resumed to-morrow when Waimana play Paroa at Whakatane and Ahuwliemia meet Whakatane Star at Ruatoki, both matches being Bracken Cup fixtures. Indications at present point to all teams fielding up, to strength and despite the lapse of club matches for a while, good football should result. Rangitaiki will be at home at Te Teko to meet Opoliki in the last challenge for the Huriivui Apamvi Shield and a good display should also be forthcoming at that ground. Opotiki can be depended upon to give a solid showing in an effort to wrest the shield from the consistent holders and Rangitaiki, determined to hold it for another season, will be well on their toes to show that last week's defeat was no guide to form; REFEREES Referees for to-morrow are:— Seniors. Bracken Cup: Ahuwhenua v Wha katane Star at Ruatoki, 2.45 p.m., B. Norman. Pairoa v Waimana at Whakatane, 2.45 p.m., A. Thpmas.' Juniors. Wilson Cup: Star v Taneatua at Whakatane, 1.30 p.m., F. Darvill. WHAKATANE TEAM The following Whakatane Star seniors are reminded that a bus will leave the Rock at 1.30 sharp for Ruatoki to-morrow. Howat, Milner, Jackson, Rayner, Merito (4), Wilson, Fitchett, Henry Kernot, Francis, Sharman, Lysaght, S. Green, Dennehy, Cleland, Morpeth. REPLACEMENT K. Merito, Whakatane rep. hooker will replace Dodd as emergency for the Bay of Plenty team to meet Thames Valley to-morrow. Dodd is not available. , Juniors to represent Whakatane Star against Tanealua on the Domain at 1.30 p.m. will be selected from the following:— Britten, Chambers, Stewart, Melville, Coutts, Green, J.
