EXPEDITIONARY FORCE
NURSES AND CHAPLAINS The following appointments of nursing personnel have been made to the third echelon of the Expeditionary Force: Sisters L. E. Anderson, N. E. O'Callaghan and E. Barker; Staff Niirses: M. McGuire, M. D. Buckingham, P. S. Dewar, M. E. White, A. J. Sinclair, J. K. Tyler. F. J. Walters, A. Faulkner, M. J. McKenzie, M. E. Reader, E. A. Worsp and F. M. Clayton-Greene: and Nurse L. R. Barlow. The following chaplains havt been appointed to the third echelon* The Revs S. H. Buck (Church of England), J. W. McKenzie (Pres- [ byterian), and J. Henley (Romar ( Catholic). Mr G. N. L. Watson has ' been posted for Y.M.C.A. duties.
Having to Rough' It. "There is no comparison between the camps of last war and those of to-day," said Lieutenant P. Gilchrist, when remarking on the excellent conditions in the camps throughout New Zealand, at the presentation social to men of the Third Echelon at Te Aroha. "When we left tents at Ngaruawahia for the huts at Papakura, I asked one soldier what he thought of his new • home. 'Oh! the camp's all right, i but it's going to be tough going ; home to rough it at the week-end leaves/ was the nonchalant reply.'*
