I POLICE ADVICE PUBLIC CO-OPERATION- REQUESTED The Whakatane police desire the co-operation of the public in an important matter. It is requested that owners of .303 rifles and revolvers of .455 and .5 calibre should take tlie arms to the police station for advice concerning them. The object is mainly to see whether the arms examined are suitable for military purposes in the defence of the country. It will be of considerable assistance to the national defence movement if owners comply with the request as promptly as possible .
