Mr E. Chandler, of Auckland, was? a recent visitor to Whakatane. V At the Harbour Board meeting on Friday leave of absence Avas granted to Mr A. BroAvn. The many friends of J\Tr H. E. Cucksejr will regret to learn that he is seriously ill. During his stay in Whakatane Mr Cucksey became very popular and his numerous friends Avill hope for a speedy recovery.
