ROAD ACCIDENT

CAR AND TRUCK COLLIDE TWO LOCAL DRIVERS INVOLVED A corner half a niile on the lloto-ii-ua side of T'ikitere was the scene ' of an accident at 8 o'clock on Monday morning, when a coupe, driven .by Mr J. Plamus, of Whakatane, and a truck loaded with empty benzine drums, owned by Schoiield's Ltd., nfWhakatane, collided. The car, wiiich Avas proceeding towards Whakatane Avas badly, damaged and had to be towed into Rotorua. The truck had the front axle bright tralier spring broken. Neither driver was injured.
