DUKE DIED WHEN LEADING' CHARGE The Duke of Northumberland, when he Avas killed in action in Bel gium, was leading 40 Grenadier Guardsmen in a bayonet charge. The Guards -continually engaged in hand-to-hand fighting near Louvain, where the Duke called for volunteers to deliver a charge. Forty started out, but none returned. A search party later found the Duke's body.
