—- * DRAMATIC CIRCLE PRESENk T ATI ON TWO PLAYS HEAD The ladies ,of the Lyceum Club held ian afternoon reading last week. .The first play read was £, T'he Bitter End" by Frances Bromley Taylor, with the castc— .William, Miss Greenup; Samuel, Miss Howell; The Mother, Mrs Hopkirk. And the second, "New Lei's-* ure" by Harold Brighouse, with the following cast: Horace Chambers, Miss M. Whiteside; Lily Chambers", Miss A.. Burch; . Maisie Chambers, Miss M. Wilfred Proby, Miss A. Clarke; Gertrude, Mrs Littlejohn. A plain afternoon tea was served at the conclusion of the readings. Among the audience were Mrs D* Pearse, Mrs E. Arnistfong, Mrs E. Haultain (Awakeri), Mrs R. Boon, Mrs J. Martin, Mrs P. Sisja,'m, Mrs A. Mollgaard, Mrs Alan B'ridger and Miss D. Boon.
