Barry said that the efforts of -the bands in helping the town were appreciated by all. They were always ready to turn out. when asked and their assistance was invaluable. Mr Barry said he did not krijow all the bandsmen overseas, but it was likely that both organisations had lost some of their bests members through enlistment and their places would be hard to fill.
