The weather was fine an| the standard of football was particularly high. 'There, were some last minute changes in the Bay of Plelinty team,( some of those selected being unliable to make the trip. Mitchell, Moore, M. Lees and Gooseman notched tries, Skinner converting two. M. Lees diopped a goal. At half-time the score was Bay of Plenty 16, Poverty Bay 5.
