LAUNCH SUNK

STRUCK ROCK ON THE BAR LATER TOWED UP HARBOUR When the steering chain carried away passing through the harbour entrance at about five o'clock last evening, Mr N. Carter's 32 foot launch struck hard on the tearing a big hole in the bow. The launch sank almost immediately. The Harbourmaster, Captain Carey later towed the craft up harbour Tind beached it near the Rowing Club's pavilion.
