FOSTER PARENTS WANTED DETAILS TO BE SUPPLIED BY APPLICANT • Residents'of Whakatane and country districts are reminded 'that application forms are now available for those desiring to take-into their homes children evacuated from Great Britain. The forms, which •can be obtained from the Whakatane Borough and County Offices, TShould be returned upon completion to the Clerk of the local authority ■controlling the district in which the applicant resides. The details required are:—• <1) Name and Address. i 2) Occupation of Head of family. (3) Conjugal Status (Married, widow, etc.) (4) Number of Children to be taken care of. ■ (5) What sex desired? ((!) Indicate age preferences, if (7) What religious denomination, if any, desired? (8) Will applicant be solely responsible for maintenance of child -or children for duration of war? {9) Particulars of applicant's children, if any, residing at home, (i.e. .number, age, sex) . <(10) Indicate sleeping accommodation available for child. (11) Any general remarks. Regarding the last mentioned, a -suggestion is that persons desirous «of taking children of friends or relatives in England should enter details here, setting out names of parents, the children concerned and their address. A meeting of the Bay of Plenty Committee, comprising the Mayors' •of Boroughs and the Chairmen of •County Councils in the area from Opotiki to Tauranga, inclusive, will be held in the Borough Chambers at 2 p.m. to-day to discuss the application of the scheme. His Worship "the Mayor of Whakatane, Mr -B. S. Barry, will be in the chair.
