CEREMONY AT LODGE MEETING ■PRESENTATION TO SECRETARY At the meeting of Edgecumbe bra rich of U.A.O.D. on Thursday last, a pleasant duty fell to the? Master of Ceremonies, P.A. Bro. F. Villis. This was the presentation to P.D.P. Bro. W. B. S. Lindsay, of a cheque, in tolcen of the esteem and regard in which he is held in the Lodge. P. A. Bro. Villis in making the presentation, said it was realised that it was through Bro. > Lindsay's hard, work and effort that the Lodge had been opened at Edgecumbe and that for six ' years he had been a loyal and efficient secretary. Through his painstaking efforts the Lodge had been helped through its initial difficulties and established on a solid foundation. Edgecumbe Lodge owed a debt of gratitude to Bro Lindsay and he trusted the tangible expression offered would be accepted in the spirit of goodfellowship. [ P.D.P. Bro Lindsay, in accepting . the gift, said that all he had done c- for the Lodge had been a labour {of 1 love. He had enjoyed the work and _ would continue to take an interest • in the welfare of the Lodge. He 1 complimented the secretary, P.D.P. Bro J. Mullins, on his efficiency in f taking charge of the Lodge books and presenting his first balance 5 sheet. He Avas satisfied that his succ cessor was going to carry on tho s good work. s —
