REQUESTS SALEABLE ARTICLES WANTED 1 The ladies controlling the Red 'Gross Society's shop in the Whakatane Hotel buildings continue their good work but no matter how hard they work, public support and public patronage are still required; support by way of donations of saleable articles, produce, cakes, etc., and patronage by the purchasing of those donations. The blackboard outside the shop details the requirements and the list' includes knitting needles, sizes 5 to 12 and buttons of all sizes, as ■well as vegetables, cakes and the like.
