EXCELLENT ENTRIES TE TEKO CLUB'S 21 ST MEETING The To Teko Cattle Dog Trial CI ill) held its twenty-first annual meeting last Wednesday on the Te Teko Domain. The day was beautifully fine and there was a slight increase in the number preseint com pared with last year. Apologies lor absence were received from the Patron, Mr F. W. Doidge, M.P., Mr S. Petrie, and Mr W. McCracken. Although the entries for the dog events were very good they were I not up to last year, but there was . an improvement in the numbers in the horse events. ' The catering was in the capable hands of the Te Teko Branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union. ' During the day the President, Mr ' C. Eivers, presented the Cups won to,,the successful competitors and informed the public that as the trials were originally started to raise funds for Patriotic purposes : the committee had decided to donate " all the. profits of this year's meeting to that very worthy cause. The day Avas cor eluded with a very successful dance in the Te Teko Hall in the evening. This was conducted by the Women's Division ' and Avith music supplied by the Gaiety Boys'. Dancing Avas carried on until the Avee small hours witli ■ a merry SAving. FolloAving are the results: —■ Single Dog Event, 23 entries; H. Sisam's Glen, 53pts, 1; D. Allan's > King, 49pts, 2; D.
