CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING TROPHIES PRESENTED The annual meeting of the Whakatane Bowling Club Avas held on Saturday evening. There Avas a good attendance, Mr S. McLeod presiding, Officers clectcd were: President, Mr S. McLeod; Vico-President, Mr L. Littlejohn; Past President, Mr E. A. Currah; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr H. L. Drube; Green Superintendent, Mr J. J. Healv; Selector, j Mr R. F. Smith; Coach, ?>!r A. j Burgess; Committee, Messrs '.!. Savage, W. Howat, G. Butt, A. Burgess and/J. J. Healy; Delegates to Centre, Messrs McLeod and Drube. It AA r as decided to raise the lees of full members by 10s and of iicav members by ss. The smoke concert, Avhieh followed the meeting, was an outstanding success. Splendid items were given by Dr. F. Cole, Mr C. V/alker, Mr Tony Smith and Mr Jeffries and were A r ery much appreciated by ' members. The trophies Avon during the year were* presented by the President and were as follow?:---•Handicap Singles: V/. Baxter; Handicap Pairs, Messrs T . Warner and A. J. Canning: Championship Pairs: J. Hellynr and C. W. Loane: Champion Singles: W. Hooper and Junior Champion, W. Henderson.
