MEETING HELD

COLLECTION OF PATRIOTIC FUNDS Residents of the Tancatua district met recently and decided to form a men's committee to assist the ladies in the raising of funds for patriotic purposes. Addresses were given by Mr A. McGougan, who convened the meeting, and by Mrs E. Hill, who detailed the objects of the patriotic committee, the boundaries allotted the district and the minimum subscription desired. \ arious methods of raising money were discussed. The next meeting will be held in the sports pavilion to-morrow night, Thursday, June 27th, at 7.30 p.m. and all men interested are invited to attend.
