PLAYS PRESENTED
DRAMATIC CIRCLE LYCEUM CLUB The members of the play-reading: group of the Dramatic Circle, Lyceum Club, met in the Club's rooms on Thursday afternoon when twoplays were read and acted, the play ers dressing for the parts. The cast of the first play was: LadyNapier, Mrs G. Lucas; Lord Napier,. Mrs F. Sumner; Kirstie, Mrs Drube; Helen Campbell, Mrs S. Spence; James Graham, Mrs Cole; Dr Wishart, Mrs Dawson. The second play was called "A Dish of Scandal."' The players in this play were dressed in pretty Victorian costumes for the The cast was: Amelia, Miss S. pett; Aunt Sarah, Mrs Otley; Mrs Pinkertcn, Mrs G. Farmer; Miss: Jaminia, Mrs D. Wilson; Miss Medley* Mrs Pearse; Jane, Miss B. Allen' After the plays a Avar-time afternoon tea was served. Among the audience were Mrs E. Armstrong, Mrs L. Littlejohn, Mrs C. Mrs J. Thomas, Mrs L. Luxton, Mrs Alexander (Taneatua), Mrs Brown (Te Puke), Mrs J. Riddell. Misses E. Messsr (Auckland) t Spencv Whiteside.
