FOUR CELEBRANTS OF SHOW DAY BAIL ESTREATED IN" THREE CASES People's Day at the Winter Show comes but once a year and at least four men decided that they would not let the occasion pass without some celebration. Unfortunately they all infringed society's codes by appearing in a public place, to wit. the Strand, in a condition of aleholie instability. Three of them, David Lawson, Joe Hona and John Alexander Caulfield were bailed out for the sum of 10s each, and not appearing on Monday morning when called, forfeited the cash. The other, James McEwnn, was convicted and discharged on a like count but was ordered to jiay for the damage he had caused in the gaol, when locked up on Saturday night. Constable F. M. Fuller informed the Court that defendant had smashed five panes of glass, valued at 15s, and thought that it should be paid for. Defendant was a lirst offender. Restitution of the 15s Avas ordered by the Bench, Messrs W. Sullivan and G. A. Brabant, J.P/s.
