FARMER FINED £2 The Inspector of Noxious Weeds, Mr A. Carling, proceeded against Leonard Fitzroy Hamilton, farmer, of Galatea, in the Magistrate's Court yesterday. Mr T. E. Hamerton appeared in support of the Inspector. Inspector Carling detailed the visits he had made to defendant's property. On January 18th, the occasion of the first inspection, he had found the farm to be badly infested with ragwort. There had been two subsequent inspections. Defendant was fined £2 and costs amounted to £1 18s.
