VALEDICTORY
MR AND MRS W. H. REYNOLDS .V h Two popular and respected members of the community, Mr and Mrs W. H. Reynolds, Otamarakau, were the guests at a large farewell gathering in the Otamarakau Hall recently. Mr and Mrs Reynolds, who have been farming in the district for many years, are leaving on an extended holiday, and intend to permanently reside at Tauranga. During an interval advantage was taken to make presentations to the guests. Mr Mikkelsen, on behalf of the settlers of Otamai-akau, spoke of the wide popularity of Mr and Mrs Reynolds, and of the great assistance they had been to the district, socially and otherwise, and as a small token of their esteem and good wishes, handed to Mr Reynolds a travelling rug. Mr W. J. Law ajso spoke in eulogistic terms of the guests. They had been u great factor in the progress of the Otamarakau district, and everyone would regret exceedingly their departure. They w'ould cafry with them the best wishes of the community. Mr Reynolds had been a member of the directorate of the Bay of Plenty Dairy Association, and in that capacity had been of valuable assistance to the farmers of Otamarakau.
