SPECIAL COMMITTEE FORMED ANALYSIS OF REGULATIONS Some discussion on the olcl question of regulations governing the collection of patriotic funds, at the Men's Patriotic Committee meeting on Monday night, resulted in the formation of a committee, including representatives of the Returned Soldiers' Association, to make an analysis of the regulations afid make any recommendation thought suitable for general adoption. It was proposed that any recommendation adopted should be forwarded to the Minister in charge. The committee comprises Messrs Savage, F. W. K. Raymond, G. Otley. C. A. Head, B. S. Barry* D. V. Saunders, W. Sullivan and C. W. Good, and will meet in the Borough Chambers at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4th. COMMITTEE FORMED TANEATUA DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE ATTENDANCE AT MEETING A meeting of ladies representing the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union, the Women's Institute and the Taneatua Sub-Centre of the Red Cross was held recently to discuss the advisability of forming a Patriotic Committee. Mr A. McGougan addressed the meeting and outlined the part each district was expected to play in meeting the requirements of the Patriotic Council The following committee was then elected: —Mr A. McGougan, Mrs E. H. Hill, delegate to the Whakatane Zone Executive. Mcsdames J. Peebles, B. Grace, G . Bennett, T. Mitchell, E. McPeake, E. Frost, V. Alexander,. Munro, Misses B. Peebles, F. Tebhutt and Mrs N. Semmens secretary.; ■ . '
