WEDDING

HYLAND—YVAPLES On Saturday 18th May a quiet wedding was solemnised at St George's Anglican Church, Whakatane, between Sarah, daughter of Mrs Waples and the late Mr Waples of Northumberland, England, and Walter Arthur Garwood, son of Mr and the late Mrs Arthur Hyland of Thorn ton. The. bride was attended by Miss V. Villis as bridesmaid and Mr Jack Hyland acted as best man. The officiating Minister was the Rev. S. G. Caulton. After the ceremony numerous friends giathered at the home of the bridegroom's father where afternoon tea was served and the usual toasts honoured. Following this the happy couple left for Auckland.
