FOURTEEN IN BIG STEEPLES MAIIALA WELL FANCIED Tlie Waikato Racing Club will conclude its winter meeting at Te Rapa to-day. The chief event, the Waikato Steeplechase, has attracted a held of fourteen, and on Saturday's running Mahala is Avell fancied. Horses likely to be supported include: Gordonton Hack Handicap: Lord Ace, ,Hum-a-Song, Te Haka. Waikato Plate: Gaine's Choice, Bronze Trail, Acreman. Hamilton Hurdles: Jewelled Girdle Streamline, General Ruse. Te Rapa Handicap: Silver Quex, Namara, Valmint. Waikato Steeplechase: Mahala, All Irish, Dauber. Maeroa Handicap: Olympus, Orwere, Penzance. Farewell Hack Handicap: Clinch. Glenbevan, Royal Message.
