COMMENCING TO-MORROW AREAS AND RESIDENTS ENGAGED The drive by the men's patriotic committee, which Avill have as its aim the raising of £200 for the Sick and Wounded Fund, will commence to-morrow and be completed by next Saturday night. FolloAving on Mr Stewart's offer of the services of the Fire Brigade, the Borough was divided into blocks. These areas, with the canvassers concerned, are as lows:—Tlie Rock to Alexandra Avenue, the Whakatanc Fire Brigade. This includes Louvain Street, Merritt St., Simpkin's St., McAlistcr St., and Commerce St. Landing Road and Victoria Avenue as far as the eastern side of Nelson Street, with streets between, Messrs G. Otley and Morris. King Street to Bridge Street, Messrs Ramson and Rae. Domain Road, McGarvey's Road, Eivers Road, Russell Street, Haig Street, and Francis Street, Messrs Wilson and Henderson. Soutar's Avenue and Lovelock Street, Messrs Wilson and Drube. Goulstone Road to Valley Road, Messrs Jarrett and Montgomery. Anzac Avenue, Douglas Street, Salonika Street and Alexandra Avenue, Messrs Bigelow and Suckling, or Shaw. SteAvart Street and James Street, Messrs Sullivan and Smith. The Strand from the Rock to the monument, Messrs Barry and C. S. Armstrong. From the monument to the Bank of NeAV Zealand, Messrs Buddie and Good. From the Bank of New Zealand to Heads, Messrs Partridge and Taylor. Hillcrest and the Commerce Street business area, Mr D. V. Saunders.
