WHAT'LL YER BID?

TO-MORROWS AUCTION SALE BUY A SUIT AND BE PATRIOTIC '''What have I got, what have I got?" Such will be the call of Mr A. J. Canning to-morrow morning* at 11 a.m. when lie Avill auction the results of the clothes drive made In the Borough during the week, to all who should wish to attend. But this is not all, citizens. The sale being in the interests of the Red Cross has grown somewhat from its original purpose. To the wellknown mart have gravitated all kinds of things, useful and otherwise, which must be disposed of. Therefore 'Who'll buy, W T ho'll buy! The idea has now become something akin to .a Dutch Auction, to which the auctioneer invites anybody to bring anything and buy it back again—if they like. All kinds of goods and chattels will be welcomed —from old sacks to charging elephants. It is understood that there is a special reserve on the person of Adolf Hitler, but everything else will be disposed of without reserve . Special Note: Everything in connection with the drive, and the auction, including Mr Canning's services and the publicity is being made available free of cost. Do your bit by attending.
