RUNNING WATER IN THE STREET CHANNELS REFERRED TO WORKS COMMITTEE When general business was being discussed at the Borough Council's meeting Mr Armstrong brought up the subject of water in the street channels. "It is time something was done in the matter," he said. "As Cr Sullivan pointed out, the bulk ol the' rates comes from the business area and little is spent on it." He moved that the work of connecting the Waiewe Stream to the channel be put in hand immediately. Cr Canning said that the dust and paper nuisance still obtained.
