FORMER WHAKATANE PRACTITIONER Ncavs has been received that Dr. Alexander Stuart King, younger son of the Rev. G. Stuart King and Mrs King, Strath Taeri, formerly of LafidsdoAA T ne, Masterton, has passed with distinction for the degree of tropical medicine and is hoav accupying a position on the staff of the Edinburgh Medical School, says the "PoA r erty Bay Herald." During the currency of that appointment, Dr King will prosecute studies for F.R.C.S. He has offered his services to the War Office and hopes that eventually he may be able to serA'e Avith a medical unit attached to the New Zealand Forces. Dr King is aa t cll known in Whakatane, where for some time he was engaged in association with Dr. F. J. Appleby.
