ANNUAL CONFERENCE

PRESBYTERIAN MAORI MISSIONS CAMP AT OH6PE The annual conference of the Pres byterian Maoori Missions is being held at Ohope. The chairman is the ! Rev. J. G. Laughton, who is superintendent of Maori Missions for tWe North Island. Approximately two hundred delegates are attending, representing a wide area which includes* Auckland* Hawke's Bay, Bay of Plenty, Urewera, Waikato and Taupo. A full week's programme is being observed in spite of the extremely unfavourable weather conditions and lectures and prayer meetings are held every day. Yesterday thies Presbytery met to discuss financial mattersConditions are rather uncomfortable, the delegates living in the newly-erected Presbyterian Hall and tents, but in spite of this everyone, is cheerfal. To-morrow r evening there will be a grand wind-up concert. The Presbyterian Mission Sisters will' be sponsible for the programme and a general and cordial invitation is extended to the public. The camp breaks up on Monday* when all' delegates will return home.
