200 GUINEAS FOR COW; 102 GUINEAS FOR BULL There was a large attendance o$ Jersey breeders from the Bay of Plenty and Waikato districts at the Odclicombe dispersal sale held on account of Mr Trotter, Katikati, on Tuesday 7th May. The cattle came forward in excel-< lent condition and there was spir--ited competition throughout the sale for both cows and bulls. The highest price of the sale was 200 guineas for the cow "Leon Lehutai V.H.C., C.O.R. 8881bs fat This cow is a daughter of the champion butterfat bull "Brampton Dreaming Sam" (Imp), sire of 24 C.O.R. daughters and 12 classified V.H.G. cows. "L,eon Lehutai"' is the highest pro ducing daughter of her famous sire. She is a double gold medallist for production and in addition to winning production competitions has also won show championships and is the clam of show winners. The purchasers were Wright, Step henson and Co. Ltd. as agents. Messrs Boon and Berg, Whakatane, were the purchasers of the herd sire "Oddicombe Dreaming Sam" at 102 guineas. This bull is a son of the 200 guinea cow "Leon Lehutai" and is a double grandson of "Brampton Dreaming Sam."' "Oddicombe Dreaming Sam" was exhibited with success in the Kati-i kati show as a yearling and two year old, and liis stock were very} successful at the Tauranga, Katikati and Paeroa Shows this season. His daughters are wonderful producers and the first line of seven which will be C.O.R. tested next season should qualify him a champion butterfat bull. The 67 head sold realised the satisfactory average of 25 guineas. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd. Avere the auctioneers with Mr C. E. Robertson, auctioneer.
