PROSECUTIONS
BREACHES OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS NO WARRANTS OF FITNESS Constable O. S. Ricc, of Taneatua, prosecuted when Russell Stott, a service car dxiver, was charged that at Taneatua lie failed to keep left of roadway. Defendant appeared and offered an explanation, admitting that he had cut the corner. He was lined £1 and 10s costs. Traffic Inspector J. H. Delves represented the Transport Department in the following prosecutions: Thomas Hunt, of Taneatua, was charged with failure to keep the prescribed accounts and records' relative to the conditions of his licence to operate a goods service. He Avas fined £3 and costs Avere 10s. On a count of riding a bicycle Avithout a red rear reflector, Clarence Joseph Partridge Avas ordered to pay 12s costs. For riding -a bicycle without a light Peter Moeke Avas fined ss, A\ith 12s costs. Other fines recorded Avere Murray Cooper, insufficient lights on a moj-1 tor vehicle, £1 and 12s; George Chase, defecti\ T e lights, £1 and 12s; Frank Dunphy, defective lights, £1 and 12s; Arthur Davies, no rear vision mirror, 10s and 10s. ! i Failure to possess current warrants of fitness: Wiremu Reneti, 10s and 15s; Hugh Desmond Wilson (Mr B. S. Barry), Albert Edward Broadmorej George Chase, Murray Cooper and Edward Charles Barclay, each 10s and 12s costs, Avhilfe Harold George Whiteman, a second offender, was fined £1 and 12s.
