Mr and Mrs B, Cottrell and Miss Cecily Cottrell, of Stewart Street, left on Friday for a holiday 'in Auckland. Mr and Mrs W. .Johansen, of Waihou, Thames Valley, are the guests of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs J. Thompson of Oh op a Beach. , Mr J. Mohring, of Gordon, Piako, passed through Whakatane last Friday on his way home from the Centennial Exhibition. He expressed him self as being agreeably surprised at the size and progress of the town..
