For a wager, a French cab driver, Charles Chatainnon, undertook to smoke 100 strong cigars in two days. In the first 24 hours he disposed of 6(5 cigars, and after a rest of two hours resumed his task at a more leisure-' ly pace, and finished the 100 th cigar several hours ahead of time.
