PUBLIC NOTICES SOCIAL SECURITY CONTRIBUTION On the Ist May an instalment of the Registration Fee will become payable by all persons of sixteen years of age or over who are ordinarily resident in New Zealand,, other than those exempt. Every person who is so entitled including persons in receipt of an Age Benefit and not in receipt of any other income must complete the appropriate form of application for exemption and present it Avith the coupon-book at a money-order olfice Avithin seven days after the last day for payment of such instalment. Such personsmust 1 claim their exemption in tlu» manner indicated above otherwise payment of the instalment may be demanded. It is essential that the full name and postal address of the holder of a coupon-book be entered on the relatiA r e coupon before tendering payment of an instalment. A penalty equal to 10 per cent of the amount involved will be incurred on any instalment of the charge not paid within one month of the due date. Any employer who employs for more than seven days a perscn who has failed to register or Avho is in arrear with the Registration fee is liable, on summary conviction, to a fine of £20. Employers are required to deduct the Social Security Charge from the salaries or wages paid to employees, including the value of benefits in kind, such as food, lodging or free house provided and must also ensure that the employees effect payment of all due instalments of the Registration Fee.
