PUBLIC NOTICES PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN Notice is hereby that the Bay of Plenty Hospital Board proposes, at its meeting to be held on the 16tli May 1940, to consider motion to apply to the Local GovW ernnient Loans Board for its sanction to the horroAving of the sumf of £4000,, for the purposes of: — (a) Additions to Domestic Quarters. (b) Additions to Maternity Annexe, furniture for same andl •shifting Isolation Block. (c) Concrete paths round buildings. (d) Concrete tennis courts ana fencing. It is proposed that the charges on this loan shall be met by an Increase in the levies on contributory local authorities and Government subsidy thereon. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Bay of Plenty Hospital Board not later than the day preceding the said meeting. COUNTY OF WHAKATANE RURAL HOUSING ACT, 1939 Notice is hereby given that the Whakatane County Council proposes, at its meeting to be held on Wednesday, the 22nd day of May, 1940, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to raise a loan of £.50,000 for the purpose of making advances to ratepayers under the Rural Housing Act, 1939. Security for the pronosed loan will be a special rate of in the £1 on all unimproved rateable property in the County of Whakatane. N.B. The Council's policy in granting Rural Housing Loans to Ratepayers will be such Avhich will ensure that all interest and loan repayment charges Avill be paid by the ratepayers availing themselves of Housing Loan AdA^ances.
