NO SCHOOL COMMITTEE

A singular and far from pleasing situation has arisen at Thornton where following the resignation of the old school committee, and the complete absence of any further nominees, the Householders meeting last Wednesday evening merely lapsed, and the position remains in the air. This unfortunate state of affairs has resulted 'in a stalemate between responsible parents and the Board. It is to be deeply regretted that there are not even a few interested parents who will come forward and offer their services in the interests of the children and their educational welfare.
