There was a lighter list of debt cases at this month's sitting of the Magistrate's Court. The following are judgments given by default: — RJVI. Transport Co. Ltd. v Dick Rangihika, £4 17s 6d and £1 14s 6'<3| costs; Armstrong and Co v W. H« Vincent, £23 18s 2d and £4 3s 6d costs; Johannes Andersen v F. E. Carter, £2 4s 10 'and £1 5s 6d costs; Walter Beamish v Geoffrey Harnett £10 2s 6d and £2 14s eostfc; G. H.Cliristensen v H. Wilson, £20 lis and £4 Is 6d costs. Judgment Summons. On judgment summons, Cadman's Ltd v Peter W T ano, £8 Is Bd, in default 8 days' imprisonment, sentence to be suspended on the payment of £1 per month. Whakatane Hardware Co v J. J. Fen ton, £32 18s Bd, in default 30 days' imprisonment.
