GOOD DAIRY SEASON
EFFECT ON FOOTBALL Evidence of a splendid dairying season was advanced by the Re.v. Wharetini Rangi, Ruatoki delegate to the Whakatane Rugby sub-Union* at that body's meeting on Wednes-f day night. The question under discussion at the tim'c was the open-* ing date for the football season and after it had been suggested that April 27 would be suitable, the Rev Rangi said that cows were still in full milk in many areas and it might be difficult for the players to get away from the farms, Ila advised deferring the matter until the next meeting of delegates, when the subject could be reviewed. The suggestion was adopted.
