SOCIAL EVENING
TE TEKO FUNCTION PRESENTATIONS MADE On Monday evening, March 19th, a large number of friends gathered at the Te Teko Mission House to honour Miss Kitty Butler and Miss Margaret Lambert, both of whom' are to be married shortly.. The evening "was greatly enjoyed, everyone entering with spirit into the games and community singing. After supper Miss Butler was pre sented with numerous useful articles for her kitchen while Miss Lambert was presented with a chiming clock from her friends of the district. Mr Keith Costello replied on behalf of Miss Butler and Mr Ken Grant for Miss Lambert. Blrs Jamieson, on behalf of the Women's Division, then asked Miss Butler to accept two lovely crystal vases and Miss Lambert a silver cake dish, with the best wishes of the members,, and as tokens of appreciation of their many so willlingly rendered. Bouquets of rosebuds were presented to the guests and shoulder sprays to Mrs Butler and Mrs Lambert. Sister Mary, leader of the Bible Class, thanked the girls for the warm interest they had taken in the Class and for the faithful fulfillment of their duties as secretary and organist. She spoke of the splendid character of the girls and expressed to them the gratitude of j their friends for the good influence they had always exercised in many avenues of service. The sincerest good wishes of all their friends would accompany them always, and assurance was given that those who are greatly loved are greatly missed. A happy evening was brought to a close by the conducting of family prayers by Miss Lowery.
