A. AND P. ASSOCIATION GYMKHANA AND RODEO The gymkhana and rodeo held by "the Opotiki A. and P. Association on Easter Monday was an outstanding success and has helped the association to a considerable extent in making up the loss sustained at the red&ht annual show. Opotiki residents have helped in every way possible to reduce the expenses of the gymkhana and in some cases have donated the prize money to the association. It is evident that Opotiki is determined to keep the annual show the big event of the year and the association is very pleased indeed Avitli the spirit of co-operation shown not only by com petitors but residents in general in the endeavour to keep the associal- - alive. The attendance on Monday was very large and competition w 7 as very keen throughout the day. In the steer-riding there was a big entry and many good exhibitions; of riding were seen. A llower show was also held in conjunction with the gymkhana and the display was excellent* although many show supporters were unable to be present.
