BARLEY FOR PIG FEED
FURTHER SUPPLIES ARRIVE! Wellington, March 26. The Director-General of the Department of Agricultlure advises that further supplies of Australian barley for pig feed have noAV arriVed in New Zealand. 0 ; n March 22, 14,000 bags of feed barley Avere unloaded at Aucklalnd, and it is expected that a further shipment of 15,600 bags Avitl arrive at the sam,e port about the first week in April. About April 10, 8000 bags will be unloaded at N<*av Plymouth, and the remainder of the amounting to 17,000 bags, Avill be available at Wellington. The Department of Agriculture states that the price for minimum; lots of ten bags for cash sales is still 3/4 d per bushel ex wharf, and orders may be placed through merchants in the usual Avay. Farmers, it is stated, would be Avell advised to secure not less than six Aveeks' supplies in order to aA 7 oid possible shortages due to shipping difficulties.
