ADDITIONAL LAND TO BE SECURED MINISTER'S LETTER The Hon. Mr Fraser, Minister of Education, writes as follows to Mr F. W. Doidge, M.P: — "In continuation of the letter which the Hon. Mr Mason addressed to you on the 7th November last, I have pleasure in advising you that the question of securing additional land for playground purposes at the Edgecumbe Public School has received further consideration, and I have approved a grant to enable the Auckland Education Board to continue negotiations with a a iew to the purchase of the area. Should the Board bo unable to purchase the land within the amount up to which it has been authorised to negotiate, the Board lias been instructed to acquire the land under the compulsory provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928."'
