Mr G. S. Hutohcon, of Whakatane, has been posted to Levin as an armourer in the Air Force. Miss B. Old of Taneatua, has been the guest of Mrs L. W, Rowe, of Paengaroa. Mrs Jack Goddard has left Whakatane to take up residence in Auckland. Mrs F. Gartshore of Lovelock Street has returned home after a holiday in Auckland. Mrs J. Rear don and the Misses M. and D. Reardon of Merritt Street* are at present on an extended holi:lay in Taranaki. Mrs D. G. Jones, of, Stirling Street* Remuera, Auckland,, and Miss Margaret Wilson of Mt. Roskill, havef >een the Easter guests of Mrs A.. A.llan of Allandale, Whakatane. Messrs T. H. and. A. Morgan returned to Hamilton 1 and Auckland respectively after spehding the Easter vacation with their parents, Mr and Mrs T. Morgan. Luck attended Mr J. Martin of Victoria Avenue, while fishing in the Whakatane River over the Easter week-end when he caught the limit in a comparatively short-time. The trout he reports were in fine fettle and were biting well. The previous week-end he reports that he also obtained the limit number which speaks well for the fishing, propensities of the local waters. ENGAGEMENT Mrs Z. Parkinson,, Victoria Avenue..
