DRAMATIC EVENING T ; ;e ladies of the Dramatic Circlc of the Lyceum Club met in the club's rooms on Thursday nit'lit for the J;''st meeting of the year. Two plays were read and acted, tile readers dressing • {'or the parts, The first was "The Bathroom Door" by Gertrude Jennings. The cast v.-as-: The Young man. Miss Allan; The Young Lady, Mrs C. Thomas; The Old Gentleman. Tlrs Southey; The Elderly Lady, Miss S. Tippett; The Prima Donna, j Mrs Moriee; Pools, Mrs Eggers. Tiie ph;y was produced by Mrs Neir. The next play was "Escape"'' by i'L E. Parr. The cast of this was: Constance Manson, Mrs Boswell; Mr JManson, Mrs Littlejohn; Pamela Bar iog, Mrs 11. Armstrong; Joe Watkins. Miss Carlyon. TJiis pla;> T was produced by Miss Ngalai. Pianoforte solos were also given by Mi\s .Appleby and Miss E. Arms! rong (New Plymouth). These were ;on eJ i appr ec i a!. ed. Supper was served at the conel tisioii. Among those present were: Mesdames E. Armstrong,, Hooper, Iliddell, Pearse, S. Spenee, W. Steele, 1?. Boon, Mollgaard, P. Sisam, A. Hay! or, K. Runciman, D. Allan, T, Smith, E. Uaullain, J. Martin and Misses Mullin, Boon, Whiteside.
