ACHILLES MEN AS GUESTS OF HONOUR Honouring two of the crew of H.M.S. Achilles, Leading-Seaman T. McGougan and Bugler A. F. Wheeler, a musical evening and dance was presented at their home on Saturday night by Mr and Mrs W. E. Armstrong, Haig Street. Among those present were Mr and Mrs Neil Carter, Mr and Mrs S. Armstrong, Snr., Mr and Mrs J. Thorn, Mr and Mrs F. C. Woods, Mr and Mrs Geo. Simmonds, Mr and Mrs G. Middlemiss, Mr and Mrs E.> Hayden, Mr find Mrs H. McGougan, Mr and Mrs E. A. McGougan, Mr and Mrs S. N". Armstrong. Mr and Mrs Washer (Tauranga) and many of Leading-Seaman McGougan's old school mates from Taneatua. The musical programme was arranged and presented by Mr Ted Hayden.
