AUTUMN FROST

SOME GARDENS SUFFER Temperatures had dropped on Monday and one of the first really cool nights this year was experienced. Residents about early on Tuesday morning found that temperatures had been so low as to cause a frost,, and this was general in the surrounding districts. Some gardens had suffered but most damage was done to kumara crops.
