BOY SCOUT TROOP
SHORTAGE of instructors, supervisors and teachers, owing to the best of the country's manhood volunteering for service in the interests of Empire, has led to a continued appeal for new leaders to come forward to fill the breach. The position applies to the Whakatane scout troop at the present time, where a body of keen, growing lads are left almost leaderless owing to the loss of their Scoutmasters., The work is useful and fully worthwhile, for it means moulding young lives along the correct lines, and thereby assisting towards Empire building for tomorrow. The citizens qommittee immediately interested, is most concerned over the position as it flow obtains, and the appeal is for volunteers, who have the interests of youth at heart, to come forward and lend a hand at a rather critical time.
